Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Commonwealth Society is an association of 53 countries, intrinsically linked through their common history and shared values, which are committed to improving the lives and prospects of citizens across the globe.

The Commonwealth offers a pathway for this greater understanding and the opportunity to expand upon our shared experiences in a wider world. A world in which paths to mutual respect and common cause may also be explored and, which can draw us together, stronger and better than before.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth

The fraternal links between the United States and the United Kingdom and the commonwealth countries are strong and well established, beyond our language, common legal systems and shared values. The establishment of the RCSUSA will provide us the opportunity to strengthen these relationships economically and to allow our young people to understand and respect the value of these relationships. America has no closer friends than the United Kingdom and the member nations of the RCS.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant

Throughout its long history, the Society has always been at the forefront of pushing for progressive change in the Commonwealth, and has itself changed a great deal during that time. From its origins as an academic and literary society, the Society has transformed to become a charitable organization whose work impacts the lives of thousands of people worldwide.
